Terms of use

These terms apply to EdSmart Studio Placeholder: legal entity name and registered address(“we”, “us”) and to everyone who uses the EdSmart Studio app and this website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

1. The service

EdSmart Studio provides AI tutoring, homework help, assessments, progress tracking and tools for teachers and schools. It supports learning; it does not replace teachers, schools or official examinations.

2. Accounts

• Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Accounts for under-18s need verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, or are created by a school that holds it.
• Schools are responsible for the accounts they create and for who they give teacher and admin access to.

3. About the AI

The tutor and the feedback are generated by AI. They are grounded in the school’s curriculum content and are usually helpful, but they can sometimes be wrong. Check anything important with a teacher. Grades and feedback from EdSmart Studio are a guide for practice, not official school results.

4. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that you don’t have the right to share;
• upload unnecessary personal information about other people;
• try to get around plan limits, security or access controls, or misuse the AI;
• use the service to bully, harass or cheat.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, including sending it to our AI providers as described in the privacy policy. Teachers confirm they may upload the homework sheets and papers they use.

6. Plans and payment

The Free plan includes unlimited tutoring with monthly limits on homework sessions, uploads and assessments. The Paid plan removes those limits. School arrangements are agreed separately.Placeholder: prices, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms

7. No advertising

EdSmart Studio shows no advertising.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and improving, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. We’ll give notice of significant changes where we can.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, telling you why where appropriate.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the basis of AI output.Placeholder: liability wording for lawyer review

11. Governing law
